A two-way radio and infrastructure equipment company replaces pen-and-paper warehouse tracking with a full NetSuite implementation across every sales channel.
Sunny Communications: From Pen-and-Paper Tracking to Real-Time NetSuite Visibility
From Paper Counts to Real-Time Visibility
Sunny Communications has spent more than two decades buying, selling and repairing used two-way radios and the infrastructure equipment that keeps essential teams connected. As the business grew, so did its order volume - spread across in-house sales, eBay, and Shopify, each running somewhat independently of the others.
At a Glance
Client: Sunny Communications - two-way used radio and infrastructure equipment maker since 2001
Industry: Telecommunications equipment, manufacturing & distribution
What BPC built: Full NetSuite implementation - R2R, O2C, P2P, WMS, Inventory Management
Timeline: Live in 8 months, on schedule and on budget
Key result: Real-time inventory and warehouse visibility across every sales channel
The Challenge
Sunny Communications sells in-house and through eBay and Shopify, but ran on QuickBooks, spreadsheets, and pen-and-paper warehouse tracking. That worked when the business was smaller. As order volume grew across channels, inventory counts stopped matching the shelves, and shipping errors followed whenever orders overlapped between channels - with no live view of what was actually happening on the warehouse floor. The company evaluated several ERP platforms before choosing NetSuite as the operational backbone for its next chapter of growth, then selected Bryant Park Consulting to lead the build.
How BPC Helped
Bryant Park Consulting delivered a full NetSuite implementation spanning record-to-report, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, warehouse management, and inventory management - replacing the patchwork of manual processes with one connected system. BPC also connected NetSuite to the tools Sunny Communications actually runs on day to day:
eBay and Shopify integrations, so online orders flow into NetSuite alongside in-house orders
Ship Central for managing shipping from a single place
Shepherd CMMS integration, moving service work orders onto the same platform as everything else
Custom IP
Sunny Communications chose BPC for a design-first approach and the ability to build customizations that fit how the business actually operates, rather than a one-size-fits-all template:
Custom workflows and saved searches built around how Sunny's team tracks assembly day to day
Multi-channel order routing so eBay, Shopify, and in-house orders share one inventory view
Service work order automation through the Shepherd CMMS connection
The Impact
Real-time inventory and assembly/consumption data, replacing paper counts
One source of truth across sales channels - no more manual cross-referencing
Flexible dashboards and reporting for the warehouse and leadership teams
Fewer shipping errors now that every channel runs through the same system
"Eight months after kickoff, real-time inventory data and live assembly tracking had replaced pen-and-paper counts - delivered on schedule and on budget."
What's Next
The relationship didn't end at go-live. Sunny Communications and Bryant Park Consulting are continuing to work together to refine reporting and bring additional NetSuite modules online as the business keeps scaling. The project's results earned Sunny Communications a NetSuite Spotlight Award recognizing top partner implementations in the telecommunications equipment industry.
